NiCd Batteries
:: Charge your batteries at a low rate before a race. Then peak them just before your runs.
:: Unless absolutely necessary, don’t use the same battery more than once a day. Every time a battery pack is used more than once a day it will provide less voltage.
:: If you must use a battery pack more than once a day, allow it to completely cool before recharging it.
:: If you don’t have a peak charger, charge your batteries until they are warm, not just 15-min.
:: If you are using pre-assembled battery packs, you can change the way they are assembled. The wrap around them keeps in heat and the tabs that are used are not very good. Re-assemble the pack in a side-by-side configuration with battery bars. You will notice a difference.
:: After a run discharge your batteries, don’t just put them in your box.
